Who Are We?

Aroostook Computer is a privately owned company started as Aroostook Computer Tutor by Fred Griffith in the summer of 2004. Based in Houlton, Maine, Aroostook Computer's mission is to provide expert computer education, repairs and services to residents of southern Aroostook County and neighboring areas at the lowest possible price.

Experience:

With over 23 years of experience using, teaching and repairing computers, Fred Griffith is a Microsoft Certified Professional who is also a Maine Certified Secondary School Teacher. In addition to teaching in public school classrooms, Fred has also operated home-based businesses both full and part time for over 25 years.

What Areas Do We Serve?

While our primary business area consists of Southern Aroostook County and neighboring areas, we will travel as far as our clients require provided that they pay our mileage costs! With this in mind, any client whose computer is within 15 miles by road of downtown Houlton will have no charge for travel. For those whose computers are more than 15 miles from downtown Houlton, the mileage charge is $0.50 cents per mile each way (over 15 miles).

How Much Do We Charge?

Our base rate is $35.00 per hour with a $20 minimum. Beyond the first half hour, time will be billed in six (6) minute increments at $3.50 for each six (6) minutes, rounded up to the next six (6) minutes.

As noted above, travel is charged at $0.50 cents per mile each way (over 15 miles) from downtown Houlton. Any client whose computer is within 15 miles by road of downtown Houlton will have no charge for travel.  Travel time will be billed at only $15.00 per hour.
