Dotted Quarter Notes

We already know that a DOT adds ONE HALF the VALUE of the original note.

In    time, a quarter note equals one count.

A dot after the quarter note adds 1/2 count.  (1/2 the original value)

A DOTTED QUARTER NOTE equals 1 1/2 counts.
